What Bloomify Does

Bloomify is an AI-powered tool that helps parents create personalized social stories for children ages 2–6. You share information about your child and a challenge they face, and we generate an illustrated story where your child is the hero.

Information We Collect

Account information. Your email address and name when you sign up (via email or Google sign-in).

Child information you provide. Your child’s first name, age, and the emotional or behavioral challenge you’d like to address. We use this solely to create your personalized story.

Photos you upload. You may optionally upload a reference photo of your child to improve illustration accuracy. Photos are used only for generating character illustrations and are automatically deleted after your character sheet is finalized.

Chat conversations. The messages you exchange with our AI advisor during the story creation process.

Shipping details. If you order a printed copy, we collect your name, address, and email to fulfill the order through our print partner.

How We Use Your Information

  • Maintain your account and saved stories
  • Fulfill print orders you place
  • Improve our service and fix issues

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your child’s information for advertising.

Children's Privacy

Bloomify is a tool for parents, not for children. Parents provide information about their children — children do not interact with the service directly. We collect only the minimum child information needed to create a meaningful story (first name, age, challenge). We do not collect contact information from children or allow children to make their information public.

AI-Generated Content

Stories and illustrations are generated using AI (Google Gemini). The information you provide during the story creation process is sent to Google’s AI services to generate your story and illustrations. Google’s use of this data is governed by their terms of service.

Where We Store Your Data

  • Account and story data are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon
  • Images (character sheets, illustrations) are stored in Cloudflare R2
  • All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS)

Sharing Your Information

We share information only with the services needed to operate Bloomify:

  • Google (Gemini AI) - to generate stories and illustrations
  • Cloudprinter - to fulfill print orders (shipping address and book files only)
  • Resend - to send login verification emails
  • Polar - to process payments for print orders

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Access your data by viewing your account and saved stories
  • Delete your conversations and all associated data directly from the app
  • Download your stories as PDF files from the book viewer

Data Retention

We keep your account and story data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a conversation, we remove all associated data — including images — immediately. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days. Print order records may be retained longer for legal and accounting purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the site.
